• Our coal mining reclamation research programs have been continuously active since 1979 with generous support from the Powell River Project, the Office of Surface Mining and numerous industry collaborators.
• Since 1989, we have also worked cooperatively with Iluka Resources on mineral sands mining reclamation in Virginia and Florida. 
• In addition to these major long term efforts, we have also worked on sand and gravel mine reclamation and hard rock quarry closure.
• We have also actively participated in collaborative research programs in Brazil, China and Poland.
